TANGERANG, BANTENEKSPRES.CO.ID – The Tangerang City Health Office (Dinkes) continues to ensure the availability of healthcare facilities for the community. This provision is tailored to the health needs of residents in each region.
The Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, stated that Tangerang City currently has 39 community health centers (Puskesmas) spread across several areas. In addition, there are both government-owned and private hospital facilities that support public health services.
“Yes, we’re adapting to the needs. So, currently, there are 39 community health centers and three hospitals, and one hospital is still operational,” he said on Tuesday (August 18).
Dini explained that in addition to community health centers and hospitals, Tangerang City also has a Regional Health Laboratory (Labkesda) and several private hospitals. In total, there are 36 hospitals operating in Tangerang City.
“There are 36 hospitals in Tangerang City in total. So, in terms of needs, this is sufficient, for now,” he said.
According to Dini, the availability of these health facilities is crucial in supporting public access to health services. However, facility development will continue to be adjusted to the dynamics of regional needs and developments.
Meanwhile, the Tangerang City Health Office continues to promote improvements in public health through various regional-based programs. These include assessments for Healthy Districts, Healthy Villages, Outstanding Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu), and Outstanding Cadres.
The activity was organized by the Health Office in collaboration with the Family Welfare Movement Team (PKK) and regional representatives. The assessment involved the Healthy Tangerang City Forum (FKTS), the Health Office, the PKK, and relevant regional government agencies (OPD).
Dini also emphasized that cross-sector collaboration is necessary so that efforts to improve public health do not only rely on health facilities, but also involve the active role of the community and the environment.
Meanwhile, Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin said the Tangerang City Government continues to strive to ensure that every citizen has an equal opportunity to live a healthy life, from birth to old age.
“We also want to ensure that every Tangerang City resident has an equal opportunity to live a healthy life from birth to old age,” said Sachrudin.
According to him, health is not only related to medical treatment efforts when people are sick, but also includes steps to maintain health, take preventative measures, and ensure that every family can live a healthy, productive, and quality life.
These efforts are also supported by the availability of various health service facilities in Tangerang City, ranging from three Regional General Hospitals (RSUD), 39 Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), to 1,098 Integrated Health Posts (Posyandu).
In addition to health facilities, the Tangerang City Government also provides various services closer to the community, including free health checks and a number of other health services.
“Because health isn’t just about treating illness, but also about maintaining, preventing, and ensuring every family can live a healthier, more productive, and higher-quality life,” he said. (*)
